What to know about each team

Baylor

This program has made three Sweet 16s ever, all of them coming since 2010. Manu Lecomte will get a test from USC’s athleticism and talented guards. Baylor’s 1-3-1 zone will be an interesting matchup with the Trojans’ offense, which does not turn the ball over but is also not top- or second-tier in 3-point shooting. The Bears will win if they own the offensive glass, a forte of theirs.

USC

Since the First Four began seven years ago, one of the at-large teams to come out of Dayton has made at least the second round. This year, USC is the big winner. Jordan McLaughlin and Bennie Boatwright have the talent to give Baylor a scare, if not beat them. Andy Enfield is trying to get back to the Sweet 16 for the first time since he did it four years ago with Florida Gulf Coast.
