Arizona State vs. Washington updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arizona State vs. Washington football game
The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Washington Huskies are set to square off in a Pac-12 matchup at 4 p.m. ET Oct. 8 at Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
The contest between the Sun Devils and the USC Trojans last week was not a total blowout, but with ASU falling 42-25 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. Arizona State's loss came about despite a quality game from RB Xazavian Valladay, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
Meanwhile, Washington came up short against the UCLA Bruins last Friday, falling 40-32. Washington was down 40-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The losing side was boosted by WR Rome Odunze, who caught eight passes for two TDs and 116 yards.
ASU have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 14-point spread they are up against. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
ASU didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the Huskies when the two teams previously met in November of last year, but they still walked away with a 35-30 win. Will the Sun Devils repeat their success, or does Washington have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
