Live scores, highlights and updates from the Arkansas vs. LSU football game
Game Recap
Saturday, the Arkansas Razorbacks were out to avenge their 56-20 defeat to the LSU Tigers from their previous meeting last November, but they had no such luck. Arkansas fell in a 27-24 heartbreaker. They haven't found any success against LSU since Nov. 14 of 2015, this loss making it five in a row.
RB Tyrion Davis-Price had only a few touches three weeks ago, but he got the ball a lot more this time and made it count. LSU's success was spearheaded by the efforts of QB TJ Finley, who passed for two TDs and 271 yards on 41 attempts, and Davis-Price, who rushed for one TD and 104 yards on 24 carries. LSU also relied on the talents of K Cade York, whose two field goals, the longest a 49-yard boot in the first quarter, proved pivotal in the final score.
The losing side was boosted by QB Feleipe Franks, who passed for one TD and 339 yards on 26 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 43 yards. Franks' 65-yard touchdown toss to WR Treylon Burks in the first quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the day.
This is the second loss in a row for the Razorbacks and nudges their record down to 3-5. The win got LSU back to even at 3-3.
Arkansas will square off against the Missouri Tigers at noon ET next week at Memorial Stadium at Faurot Field. LSU will hit the road for the third straight week as they head to Kyle Field at 7 p.m. ET next week. The Texas A&M Aggies are also hoping to continue their momentum after a 48-3 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks two weeks ago.
