Army West Point vs. Connecticut Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Army West Point vs. Connecticut football game
The Connecticut Huskies have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. The Huskies and the Army West Point Black Knights will face off in an FBS Independents battle at noon ET on Saturday at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium. UConn will be hoping to build upon the 22-17 win they picked up against Army when they previously played in September of 2015.
UConn was pulverized by the Purdue Boilermakers 49 to nothing last week. UConn was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35 to nothing. One thing holding UConn back was the mediocre play of QB Steven Krajewski, who did not have his best game: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw one interception with only 104 yards passing.
Meanwhile, the Black Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers last week. Army QB Christian Anderson did work as he passed for one TD and 77 yards on six attempts in addition to picking up 119 yards on the ground.
The Huskies have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 34 point spread they are up against. True fans might be the only ones betting on them, currently 0-2 ATS, to cover the spread.
Army West Point's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Connecticut's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if the Black Knights can add another positive mark to their record or if UConn can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Army West Point's step.
