Army West Point vs. Louisiana-Monroe updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Army West Point vs. Louisiana-Monroe football game
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks need to shore up a defense that is allowing 36.14 points per matchup before their game on Saturday. They are on the road again on Saturday and play against the Army West Point Black Knights at noon ET Oct. 22 at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium. The Warhawks will be seeking to avenge the 37-7 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Sept. 12 of 2020.
Louisiana-Monroe came up short against the South Alabama Jaguars last week, falling 41-34. The losing side was boosted by WR Tyrone Howell, who caught nine passes for three TDs and 244 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Chandler Rogers' 83-yard TD bomb to Howell in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, everything went Army's way against the Colgate Raiders last week as they made off with a 42-17 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Black Knights had established a 42-17 advantage. Army QB Jemel Jones did work as he rushed for two TDs and 118 yards. Jones put himself on the highlight reel with a 75-yard TD scramble in the first quarter.
Louisiana-Monroe is expected to lose this next one by 6.5. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on Louisiana-Monroe's opponents whenever they hit the road.
Army West Point's victory lifted them to 2-4 while Louisiana-Monroe's defeat dropped them down to 2-5. We'll see if Army can repeat their recent success or if Louisiana-Monroe bounces back and reverse their fortune.
