Live scores, highlights and updates from the Auburn vs. Texas A&M football game
Game Recap
The Auburn Tigers were the 28-20 winners over the Texas A&M Aggies when they previously met last September. Saturday? They had no such luck. The Tigers came up short against A&M, falling 31-20. That makes it the first time this season Auburn has let down their home crowd.
A&M QB Kellen Mond did work as he passed for two TDs and 196 yards on 23 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 60 yards. TE Jalen Wydermyer was in the mix, too, providing A&M with two touchdowns.
QB Bo Nix put forth a good effort for the losing side as he accumulated 144 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 49 yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns Nix has had all year.
Auburn's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. The win bumped A&M's record up to 7-1.
The Tigers will square off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 1 p.m. ET next week at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. MSU also suffered a recent loss, falling 31-24 to the Ole Miss Rebels last week. The Aggies will take on Ole Miss at 1 p.m. ET next week at home. A&M will have the chance to boost their scoring average against an Ole Miss defense that has allowed 39 points per game on average.
