Live scores, highlights and updates from the Baylor vs. Kansas State football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Kansas State Wildcats were out to avenge their 31-12 loss to the Baylor Bears from their previous meeting last October, but they had no such luck. The Wildcats lost 32-31 to Baylor. K-State hasn't found any success against Baylor since Sept. 30 of 2017, this defeat making it three in a row.
Baylor QB Charlie Brewer was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 349 yards on 39 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 56 yards. That was the first 300+ yard effort for Brewer this season. Brewer's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Kansas State's loss came about despite a quality game from RB Deuce Vaughn, who rushed for one TD and 102 yards on 19 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD.
K-State's defeat makes it four in a row and drags their record down to 4-5. Baylor's victory brought them up to 2-5.
The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Texas Longhorns at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday. K-State's defense will surely be attentive in the film room this week preparing for a Texas offense that has put up 38 points on average. As for the Bears, they will face off against the Oklahoma Sooners at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Baylor is heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that squad is averaging 46 per game.
