Boise State vs. Wyoming updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Boise State vs. Wyoming football game
Boise State is 7-1 against Wyoming since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The two teams will face off in a Mountain West battle at 5:30 p.m. ET at Albertsons Stadium. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Boise State started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Colorado State. They were just a hair shy of victory two weeks ago and fell 31-30 to the Rams. Boise State didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
The losing side was boosted by Ashton Jeanty, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns. Jonah Dalmas did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals and three extra points.
The Broncos weren't very productive in the air and finished the game with only 138 passing yards. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Colorado State passed for 359.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Wyoming's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Air Force. Wyoming got off to an early lead (up 14 with 3:59 left in the first quarter), but sadly they weren't able to maintain that momentum.
Despite the defeat, Wyoming got a solid performance out of Andrew Peasley, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Boise State now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Wyoming, their loss was their third straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 5-2.
In addition to losing their last games, the pair failed to cover the spread. Looking forward, Boise State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by five points. Anyone thinking of taking them against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last four times they've played Wyoming.
Boise State came out on top in a nail-biter against Wyoming in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, sneaking past 20-17. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Wyoming's Titus Swen, who rushed for 212 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be that much easier for Boise State to walk away with another win? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
