Now that the College Football Playoff Rankings have been released, the race towards the 12-team postseason has become extremely real. The playoff picture gained some clarity in Week 11 with hopefuls from around the country in action.
No. 1 Oregon took care of business at home against Maryland with a 39-18 win to move to 10-0. Oregon star quarterback Dillon Gabriel set a new FBS record with his 179th career touchdown, which passed former Houston quarterback Case Keenum. No. 10 Notre Dame defeated Florida State 52-3 for its seventh consecutive win since falling to Northern Illinois in Week 2. The Irish racked up 453 yards of total offense and scored 45 unanswered points to hand Florida State its sixth straight defeat. The Seminoles now have the most losses of any preseason top-10 team in history.
Indiana, meanwhile, continued its magical season with a 20-15 win over Michigan to move to 10-0. The Hoosiers control their own destiny to reach the Big Ten title game with a matchup against Ohio State looming later this month and should move up in the next CFP Rankings thanks to top-five upsets involving Georgia and Miami.
