Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo football game
After two games on the road, the Eastern Michigan Eagles are heading back home. The Eagles and the Buffalo Bulls will face off in a Mid-American battle at noon ET on Saturday at Rynearson Stadium. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, EMU has to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.
EMU beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 30-21 last week. The team ran away with 24 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the win. EMU QB Austin Smith did work as he passed for one TD and 60 yards on eight attempts in addition to picking up 55 yards on the ground.
Special teams collected 12 points for the Eagles. K Jesus Gomez delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, Buffalo came up short against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers last week, falling 38-26. QB Cole Snyder had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite two touchdowns, he threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball once with only 5.5 yards per passing attempt.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 14. K Alex McNulty delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
Eastern Michigan's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Buffalo's loss dropped them down to 0-3. Giving up four turnovers, Buffalo had had trouble holding onto the ball. We'll see if EMU can exploit that vulnerability.
