Florida State vs. Virginia Tech updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida State vs. Virginia Tech football game
If the oddsmakers' predictions hold true, the near future looks bright for Florida State. They will be playing at home against the Virginia Tech Hokies at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. Florida State is out to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Florida State ultimately got the result they hoped for in their last matchup. They took their game against Clemson 31-24. 31 seems to be a good number for Florida State as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Keon Coleman and Jordan Travis were among the main playmakers for Florida State as the former picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns. Johnny Wilson also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech didn't have too much trouble with Pittsburgh at home on Saturday as they won 38-21.
Kyron Drones looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 228 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 41 yards. Bhayshul Tuten was another key contributor, rushing for 109 yards.
Their wins bumped Florida State to 4-0 and Virginia Tech to 2-3.
The pair pleased both fans and bettors in their last contests by winning and covering the spread. As mentioned, Florida State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 24 points. This contest will be their third straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-1 against the spread).
