Kentucky vs. Florida updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kentucky vs. Florida football game
The Kentucky Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Florida Gators at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Kroger Field. The timing seems to be in Kentucky's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Florida has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Saturday, Kentucky didn't have too much trouble with Vanderbilt on the road as they won 45-28.
Kentucky can attribute much of their success to Ray Davis, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and JuTahn McClain, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown. Kentucky also got help from Barion Brown who showed off his sure hands for 105 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Florida strolled past Charlotte with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 22-7.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 16 in total. All those points came courtesy of Trey Smack: he added 15 points with five field goals, and another on an extra-point kick. His longest was a 54-yard strike in the second quarter.
Their wins bumped Kentucky to 4-0 and Florida to 3-1.
Looking ahead, the match is expected to be close, with Kentucky going off as just a 2.5 point favorite. This contest will be their fourth straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 3-1 against the spread).
Kentucky was able to grind out a solid win over Florida in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, winning 26-16. Will Kentucky repeat their success, or does Floridahave a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
