Kentucky vs. Missouri updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kentucky vs. Missouri football game
Kentucky is 7-1 against Missouri since September of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Kentucky Wildcats will be playing at home against the Missouri Tigers at 7:30 p.m. ET at Kroger Field. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
It was a good run, but Kentucky finally witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a punishing 51-13 defeat at the hands of Georgia. The loss was Kentucky's first of the season.
Despite the defeat, Kentucky got a solid performance out of Ray Davis, who picked up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown. Devin Leary also helped with two touchdowns in total.
The Wildcats weren't very productive in the air and finished the game with only 128 passing yards. They were dismantled by their opponents in that department as Georgia passed for 435.
Meanwhile, Missouri started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against LSU. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday. The loss was Missouri's first of the season.
The losing side was boosted by Cody Schrader, who rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. That's the first time this season that Schrader punched in two or more rushing touchdowns.
With their first loss of the season, Kentucky fell to 5-1. Missouri also lost for the first time and fell to 5-1.
In addition to losing their last games, the pair failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Kentucky is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by two points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 4-1 against the spread when expected to win.
Kentucky didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Missouri in their previous matchup last November, but they still walked away with a 21-17 victory. Will Kentucky repeat their success, or does Missouri have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
