Last week, the Hurricanes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Appalachian State Mountaineers 25-23. Miami (FL)'s RB Cam'Ron Harris filled up the stat sheet, punching in one rushing touchdown. Harris had some trouble finding his footing against the Alabama Crimson Tide two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction.

The squad ran away with 35 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the win. QB Payton Thorne had a stellar game for MSU as he passed for four TDs and 280 yards on 21 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Near the top of the highlight reel was Thorne's 85-yard TD bomb to WR Jayden Reed in the second quarter.
