Miami (FL) vs. Virginia Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Miami (FL) vs. Virginia football game
Game Recap
If the Virginia Cavaliers were expecting to get some payback for the 17-9 defeat against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes when they previously met last October, then they were left disappointed. The Cavaliers didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 19-14 to Miami (FL) on Saturday.
WR Michael Harley was the offensive standout of the matchup for Miami (FL), catching ten passes for one TD and 170 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game that Harley has posted more than 100 yards receiving. QB D'Eriq King also helped out by tossing the rock for 322 yards.
The losing side was boosted by QB Brennan Armstrong, who passed for two TDs and 181 yards on 30 attempts in addition to picking up 91 yards on the ground.
Virginia's overall record fell to 1-3. Miami (FL)'s victory brought them up to 4-1.
Virginia will square off against the North Carolina Tar Heels at noon ET next Saturday at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. The Cavaliers are heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that squad is averaging 38 per game. The Hurricanes will have some time to savor their win since their next contest is a little ways off; they will square off against the NC State Wolfpack at Carter-Finley Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET in two weeks. Miami (FL) is 3-1 after wins this year, and NC State is 1-0 after losses.
