No, this is not a recording. Michigan State running back LJ Scott has been arrested for driving without a valid license again.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the 6-foot-1, 229-pound junior from Hubbard, Ohio, was arrested Wednesday for driving with a suspended license -- the seventh time he has faced the same or similar charge. According to the report, Scott could spend up to a year in jail if convicted due to at least one prior conviction on the same charge.
Many of the previous charges against Scott were either dropped or reduced. But according to the report, he was found guilty of speeding and driving without a license in March 2016 in an incident near Ashland, Ohio.
Scott has rushed for a team-high 408 yards this season, scored three times and has played a key role in the Spartans journey back from Big Ten anonymity following last season's 3-9 record to a 5-1 mark and No. 18 ranking this season. He rushed for 994 yards last season for the Spartans, and scored 11 rushing touchdowns as a freshman during their Big Ten title and College Football Playoff run in 2015.
