Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Wednesday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M football game
3rd Quarter Report
Oklahoma State fell flat on their face against Texas on December 2nd, but memory of that harsh defeat doesn't seem to have tripped them up today. Oklahoma State has a bit of a cushion as they currently lead Texas A&M 31-20. Oklahoma State's offense has been firing on all cylinders thus far, outscoring their total from on December 2nd with time still left to play.
If Oklahoma State keeps playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 10-4 in no time. On the other hand, Texas A&M will have to make due with a 7-6 record unless they turn things around (and fast).
Preview
The Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will square off in the Texas Bowl at NRG Stadium 9:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Texas A&M is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It looks like Texas A&M got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of LSU back in November.
The losing side was boosted by Jaylen Henderson, who threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State gave up the first points and the most points on December 2nd. It's going to take some time for them to recover from the 49-21 bruising that Texas dished out on December 2nd. Oklahoma State was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Despite their loss, Oklahoma State saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alan Bowman, who threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Rashod Owens was in the mix as well, providing Oklahoma State with two touchdowns.
The Cowboys weren't very productive on the ground and finished the game with only 31 rushing yards. That's the fewest rushing yards they've managed all season.
Texas A&M's record is now 7-5. Oklahoma State's record now sits at 9-4.
Going forward, the match is expected to be close, with Texas A&M going off as just a 2-point favorite.
