After a disappointing 10 points in their last game, the Old Dominion Monarchs made sure to put some points up on the board against the Hampton Pirates on Saturday. The Monarchs were completely in charge, breezing past Hampton 47-7 at home. With Old Dominion ahead 34 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 1-1.
Old Dominion will square off against the Liberty Flames at 6 p.m. ET next Saturday at Williams Stadium. Liberty is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 21-13 victory over the Troy Trojans on Saturday. As for Hampton, they will face off against the Howard Bison at noon ET next Saturday at Audi Field. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
