Rice vs. Louisiana Tech Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Rice vs. Louisiana Tech football game
The Rice Owls are 0-5 against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs since October of 2015, but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Rice and Louisiana Tech will face off in a Conference USA battle at 1 p.m. ET at Rice Stadium. The Owls are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 36.64 points per contest.
Rice came up short against the UTEP Miners last week, falling 38-28. Despite the defeat, Rice got a solid performance out of QB Jake Constantine, who passed for two TDs and 183 yards on 25 attempts.
Meanwhile, the game between Louisiana Tech and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles last Friday was not particularly close, with the Bulldogs falling 35-19. QB Aaron Allen had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw two interceptions with a passing completion percentage of only 40.74%.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 13. K Jacob Barnes delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
The Owls are expected to lose this next one by 3.5. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past four games, so buyers beware.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
