Syracuse vs. Army updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Syracuse vs. Army West Point football game
The Syracuse Orange will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Army Black Knights at 12:00 p.m. ET at JMA Wireless Dome. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Syracuse didn't have too much trouble with Purdue on the road as they won 35-20.
QB Garrett Shrader had a stellar game as he rushed for 195 yards and four touchdowns. Syracuse also got a significant boost from RB LeQuint Allen, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Army earned a 37-29 victory over UTSA on Friday.
QB Bryson Daily looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 133 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown. RB Hayden Reed and his 107 yards on the ground were another key factor in Army's win.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Army, adding 13 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of K Quinn Maretzki: he added nine points with three field goals, and another four kicking extra points. His longest was a 45-yard strike in the second quarter.
Syracuse and Army pleased both fans and bettors in their last matches by winning and covering the spread. Looking ahead, Syracuse are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 14 points. This contest will be their third straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 3-0 against the spread).
