Game Recap
After losing to the Syracuse Orange the last time they met, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Wake Forest was the clear victor by a 38-14 margin over 'Cuse. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Demon Deacons had established a 38-7 advantage.
It was another big night for Wake Forest's RB Kenneth Walker III, who punched in three rushing touchdowns. Wake Forest's DB Gavin Holmes got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the third quarter into a touchdown.
No one had a standout game offensively for 'Cuse, but they got scores from WR Nykeim Johnson, TE Luke Benson, and QB JaCobian Morgan.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Wake Forest and raised their record to 4-2. The Orange are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
The Demon Deacons will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against the North Carolina Tar Heels at noon ET in two weeks at Kenan Memorial Stadium. 'Cuse will play host again and welcome the Boston College Eagles to Carrier Dome, where kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET next week. BC also suffered a recent loss, falling 32-28 to the Clemson Tigers Saturday.
