The South Florida Bulls have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the UCF Knights and are hoping to record their first victory since Nov. 26 of 2016. South Florida and UCF will face off in an American Athletic battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday at Bounce House. The Bulls are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 36.27 points per contest.

South Florida suffered a grim 45-14 defeat to the Tulane Green Wave this past Saturday. South Florida was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35-7. South Florida's loss came about despite a quality game from RB Kelley Joiner, who punched in one rushing touchdown.

Meanwhile, when you finish with 228 more yards than your opponent like UCF did this past Saturday, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They blew past the Connecticut Huskies 49-17. With the Knights ahead 35-14 at the half, the game was all but over already. RB Johnny Richardson had a stellar game for UCF as he rushed for one TD and 147 yards on 14 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD.

The Bulls have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 18.50 point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Saturday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

UCF's win lifted them to 7-4 while South Florida's defeat dropped them down to an irreparable 2-9. We'll see if the Knights can repeat their recent success or if South Florida bounces back and reverse their fortune.
