Wisconsin's golden opportunity slips away
Wisconsin looked like the better team during the first 30 minutes of play. The Badgers forced three turnovers, averaged more than 5.0 yards per rush and managed the game well with a new starting quarterback under center. That opportunity to get a statement win slipped away in the second half. Coach Luke Fickell has now lost seven consecutive games against ranked opponents. The Badgers have upcoming winnable games against Purdue, Rutgers and Northwestern, but this loss will sting for a while because of what they showed in the first half.
