USU vs. BSU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Utah State vs. Boise State football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Utah State Aggies were out to avenge their 33-24 loss to the Boise State Broncos from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Utah State played a game they are hoping to forget as they lost a 56-21 blowout to Boise State. The Aggies haven't found any success against Boise State since Oct. 16 of 2015, this defeat making it four in a row.
RB George Holani had a stellar game for Boise State as he rushed for 178 yards and two TDs on 16 carries. Boise State's CB Jalen Walker got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the first quarter into a touchdown.
Boise State's defense was a presence as well, and it made life painful for the quarterback and got past Utah State's offensive line for a total of four sacks for a loss of 23 yards. It was a group effort with four picking up one sack apiece.
No one had a big game offensively for Utah State, but they got scores from RB Gerold Bright, TE Caleb Repp, and QB Henry Colombi.
The Aggies will square off against the New Mexico Lobos at 4 p.m. ET next week at Dreamstyle Stadium. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games. The Broncos are staying on the road, facing off against the Colorado State Rams at 3:30 p.m. ET at Canvas Stadium. Unlike the Broncos, Colorado State will be limping in after taking a loss.
