Washington vs. California Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Washington vs. California football game
California have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Washington Huskies at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
California gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They strolled past Idaho with points to spare, taking the game 31-17.
California can attribute much of their success to QB Sam Jackson V, who rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown, and RB Isaiah Ifanse, who rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Washington must be getting used to good results now that the team has ten straight wins. They claimed a resounding 41-7 win over Michigan State on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Washington had established a 41 point advantage.
QB Michael Penix Jr. went supernova for Washington, throwing for 473 yards and four touchdowns. Penix Jr. wound up with a passer rating of 228.4.
California have to know they're fighting an uphill battle given the 21-point spread they're up against. This will be their first time playing as the underdogs on the road this season.
California came up short against Washington in their previous matchup last October, falling 28-21. Can California avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
