Washington State is 1-6 against Washington since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Washington State Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Washington Huskies at 4:00 p.m. ET at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Washington State is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.

Last Friday, Washington State took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 56-14 victory over Colorado.

Cameron Ward continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 288 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Josh Kelly did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 130 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Washington State's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Colorado's QB won't forget Ron Stone Jr. anytime soon given Stone Jr. sacked him twice. Another playmaker for Washington State has been Leyton Smithson who managed to return a punt zero-yards to the end zone in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Washington put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged Oregon State out 22-20.

Washington can attribute much of their success to Rome Odunze, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Michael Penix Jr., who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns.

Their wins bumped Washington State to 5-6 and Washington to 11-0.

Washington State is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss.

Washington State ended up a good deal behind Washington in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, losing 51-33. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Washington's Penix Jr., who threw for 485 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
