No. 13 BYU is putting its undefeated record on the line against Oklahoma State this weekend. On the other side, the Cowboys are still looking for their first Big 12 win of the season, and now would be a great time to get it.
The Cougars have gotten off to an impressive 6-0 start this fall, and they just blasted Arizona, 41-19. Perhaps the biggest difference in that game was the BYU defense, which forced four turnovers and generated five tackles for loss. That unit may very well have a field day against an Oklahoma State offense that has struggled over the last month.
BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff has been doing a lot for the offense. Not only does he have 1,426 yards passing and 14 touchdowns, he also leads the team in rushing with 184 yards.
The last time that Oklahoma State won a game was its 45-10 win over Tulsa on Sept. 14, and the team hasn't been able to get out of neutral in conference play. The offense has really been bogged down, with quarterback Alan Bowman completing just 59.3% of his throws for 1,653 yards, 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Star running back Ollie Gordon has been especially disappointing with 384 yards and four touchdowns while averaging just 3.8 yards per carry. Is this the week he gets going for the Cowboys?
