The Patriots have released Lee (undisclosed) with a failed physical designation, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Lee opted out of the 2020 season, so he didn't actually see any action with New England, and he now appears to be dealing with an undisclosed injury. Now staring down his age-30 campaign, Lee will look to return to full health before catching on with another club.
