  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Rattles off three hits

Andujar went 3-for-4 in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Brewers. Andujar rested Thursday and came back into the lineup with a strong game. He's logged multiple hits in six of his 17 games this season, batting .300 (18-for-60) so far. He's added a home run, seven RBI, seven runs scored, a double and no stolen bases across 66 plate appearances. Andujar continues to serve as the Athletics' primary left fielder, but he's provided little more than a strong batting average.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Resting up Thursday

Andujar is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox. Andujar will get his first day off since April 5, breaking a streak of nine consecutive starts. With Andujar on the bench, the Athletics will run out an outfield of Brent Rooker, JJ Bleday and Lawrence Butler from left to right.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Belts first homer of year

Andujar went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Mets. After he brought home the Athletics' first run of the game with a second-inning single, Andujar chased Griffin Canning from the game with a two-run blast in the sixth. It was the first long ball of the year for the 30-year-old outfielder, and Andujar has had a solid start to the campaign, batting .310 (13-for-42) through 12 appearances with six runs and six RBI.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Sitting down Saturday

Andujar isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies. Andujar is 4-for-12 with a run scored during his brief three-game hitting streak, but the Athletics will give him a breather Saturday. Seth Brown will fill the void in left field and bat seventh.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Not in Friday's lineup

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: In Sunday's spring lineup

Andujar (abdomen) is playing left field and batting sixth in Sunday's Cactus League contest against Colorado. Andujar ended last season on the 60-day IL due to an issue that required core muscle surgery. He appears to be fully recovered given his ability to hit and play the field Sunday. Andujar hit well in his first season with the Athletics last year, posting a .285/.320/.377 slash line with four homers and three stolen bases over 319 plate appearances, and he's slated to get regular at-bats in left field during the 2025 campaign.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Settles with Athletics

The Athletics and Andujar (abdomen) avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3 million contract Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. Andujar batted .285/.320/.377 with four home runs in 75 games for the Athletics in 2024 before his season ended in late August due to core muscle surgery. He should be ready for Opening Day and is in line for at least semi-regular at-bats.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Ruled out for rest of season

Manager Mark Kotsay said Wednesday that Andujar will miss the rest of the season as a result of his core-muscle injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. Andujar landed on the injured list earlier Wednesday, and he will need to undergo surgery to address the issue. The 29-year-old outfielder will close the book on 2024 with a .285 average and .697 OPS alongside four home runs and 30 RBI over 75 games. Daz Cameron, who has started in left field in both of Oakland's last two games, figures to take over as Andujar's primary replacement going forward.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Shelved with core-muscle injury

The Athletics placed Andujar on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a core-muscle injury. Andujar wasn't known to be dealing with an injury, but the core-muscle issue helps explain why he was mysteriously excluded from the lineup the last two games against a pair of right-handed starting pitchers. His placement on the IL is retroactive to Sunday, so Andujar will be eligible for activation beginning Sept. 4. Daz Cameron started in left field the past two games and should serve as the primary replacement while Andujar is on the shelf.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: On bench again Tuesday

Andujar is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds. It's the second straight game on the bench for Andujar, who's served as Oakland's primary left fielder since late May. He's hitting .270 through 19 games in August but has just three extra-base hits and a .649 OPS. Daz Cameron will start in left field Tuesday against Cincinnati righty Jakob Junis.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Out of Sunday's lineup

Andujar is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers. Andujar started the last 13 games but will sit Sunday after he posted a .273/.333/.318 slash line during that stretch. Daz Cameron will start in left field and bat sixth in the series finale versus Milwaukee.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Two hits in Thursday's win

Andujar went 2-for-4 in a win over the Rays on Thursday. Andujar's pair of knocks were only singles, but Thursday's performance marked his third multi-hit tally in the last eight games. The veteran has been one of the steadiest bats in the Athletics' lineup since joining the team in late May, albeit with very modest pop, as he sports a .286 batting average and .703 OPS across 73 games.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Hitting bench for series finale

Andujar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays. For the first time since July 13, Andujar will head to the bench as Daz Cameron picks up a start in left field. Andujar had started and occupied the No. 2 spot in the batting order in each of the Athletics' previous 21 games, slashing .282/.322/.376 with one home run, one stolen base, seven RBI and six runs over that stretch.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Logs third steal

Andujar went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Dodgers. Andujar has gone 9-for-20 (.450) over his last five contests while seeing a starting role in left field. His steal Sunday was just his third theft on five attempts -- the outfielder's career high in stolen bases is four from the 2022 campaign, so speed is not a big part of his game. He's been good from a contact standpoint this year, slashing .300/.327/.408 with four home runs, 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, 12 doubles and a triple over 59 contests, but he offers little in power or speed while regularly batting second in a weak lineup.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Another three-hit effort Sunday

Andujar went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Angels. Andujar took Carson Fulmer deep in the fifth inning, ending the right-hander's day. He also singled twice and finished the weekend going 8-for-13 with three RBI and three runs scored while not striking out at all. Andujar has put together a resurgence at the dish this year, slashing .304/.327/.419 with four homers, 24 RBI, 24 runs and a 7:30 BB:K in 199 plate appearances.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Rips three more hits Saturday

Andujar went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Angels on Saturday. Andujar put the bow on another impressive offensive performance by the Athletics with his seventh-inning single, which plated Max Schuemann with the final run of the game. Andujar has become an RBI machine of late, now having knocked in nine runs over the last 12 games while hitting a stellar .462 with men in scoring position over that span.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Resting Saturday

Andujar isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies. Andujar will get a breather Saturday after slashing .233/.250/.349 with a home run and six RBI through Oakland's first 10 games of July. In his place, Daz Cameron will start in left field and bat seventh.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Records second steal in win

Andujar went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Red Sox on Wednesday. Andujar hit safely for the sixth time in the last seven games Wednesday and made good use of his one time on the basepaths. The veteran worked himself into scoring position after his third-inning single by recording his second stolen base of the season, and he eventually came home on Lawrence Butler's double. Andujar went hitless in his first game of the month back on July 2, but he's gone on to post a .300 average and .789 OPS across the 31 plate appearances he's logged in the subsequent seven contests.

  • Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Belts third homer Friday

Andujar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Orioles on Friday. Andujar had last left the yard way back on June 1, but he ended a 28-game power drought with a 402-foot shot in the first to quickly erase a 1-0 deficit. The veteran has now hit safely in three straight games, and Friday's homer coaxed his slugging percentage back over the .400 mark (.403).
