  • Phillies' Max Lazar: Continues work as multi-inning arm

Lazar allowed one run on three hits and no walks in two relief innings Wednesday against the Cubs. He struck out one. Lazar continues to operate as a multi-inning middle reliever for the Phillies, as he's worked beyond one frame in four of his six outings. The 26-year-old right-hander should remain a bullpen piece while Aaron Nola (ankle) is sidelined, but Lazar has an uninspiring 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB with zero holds over 10 innings.

  • Phillies' Max Lazar: Misses Opening Day roster

The Phillies optioned Lazar to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday. Lazar was in the running for a spot in Philadelphia's Opening Day bullpen after registering a 4.61 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 13.2 innings with the big club last season. However, he will ultimately miss the cut after surrendering seven runs over 3.2 innings this spring. The 25-year-old could still return to Philadelphia sometime this season if/when the Phillies' bullpen depth is tested.

  • Phillies' Max Lazar: Optioned to Triple-A

The Phillies optioned Lazar to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday. After coming up from Triple-A in late August, Lazar surrendered seven earned runs over just eight innings. His poor performance will cause him to be sent back to the minors while Kolby Allard rejoins the big-league squad to start Saturday's game.

  • Phillies' Max Lazar: Rejoins big club

The Phillies recalled Lazar from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. Philadelphia optioned Lazar to Triple-A on Saturday, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club two days later since outfielder Weston Wilson (personal) was placed on the paternity list in the a corresponding move. Lazar will likely serve as a low-leverage reliever while he's up with the Phillies.

  • Phillies' Max Lazar: Sent back to Triple-A

The Phillies optioned Lazar to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Lazar's first MLB stint came to an end Saturday, and he'll head back to Lehigh Valley having not allowed a run in 5.2 innings for the Phillies. His spot on the 26-man roster will go to Kolby Allard, who's being called up to make a spot start Sunday.
