Duran walked and subsequently stole second base before scoring Boston's first run of the game in the sixth inning, but he was caught stealing in the 10th frame after driving in a game-tying run on a single. The speedy outfielder is still searching for a rhythm in 2025, as he's batting an ordinary .250 with zero homers and six runs scored through 67 plate appearances, but Duran does have eight RBI and five thefts over 14 outings.

Duran tripled home two in the second inning and delivered a runner from second base with a ninth-inning single. Going 2-for-2 with runners in scoring position (3-for-6 overall) makes him a rare bird for the Red Sox this early in the season. Duran has hit safely in four of the first five games, going 6-for-21 with a walk and two steals.

Duran went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Rangers.
Duran picked up where left off in 2024, when he stole 34 bases (caught seven times). He's stolen bases in each of the first two games while serving as Boston's leadoff batter.
Duran (calf) will start in left field and bat leadoff in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against Atlanta, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Duran had to be scratched from Sunday's contest due to calf soreness and Monday's game was rained out, but he's back in there Tuesday after recovering from the minor injury. Fantasy managers should feel free to draft Duran as they normally would.
