  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Day off in series finale

Naylor is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Reds. Naylor started each of the previous four contests, so he's earned a breather for Wednesday's matinee. Dom Nunez will start at catcher and bat eighth for Cleveland.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Homers in loss

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Reds. The home run was Naylor's ninth in 50 games. Naylor, who hit a home run for a second straight game, may be emerging from a slump. He's gone 5-for-7 with three RBI and four runs in those two contests. This mini eruption comes after a stretch in which the catcher had one hit over 26 at-bats.

It was Naylor's first home run since May 24 against the Tigers, and his eight homers on the season are tied for fifth-most among catchers in the American League.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Lifts homer in win

Naylor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Tigers. He got the Guardians on the board in the third inning Saturday and added a sacrifice fly in the 10th that stood as the decisive run. The 25-year-old catcher is now at a .200/.295/.433 slash line with seven homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base across 39 contests. Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins. Earlier Wednesday, the Guardians resumed their series opener with the Twins that had been suspended in the fourth inning Monday.
