  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Notches 17 points

Butler had 17 points (4-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 9-11 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 121-110 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Although the Warriors lost Stephen Curry (hamstring) at the beginning of this series, Butler wasn't able to prevent the Timberwolves from winning four straight games to eliminate Golden State. Butler had his struggles in this series, shooting 43.0 percent from the field with a low usage rate, all things considered. Butler will be 36 years old on Opening Night in 2025-26, and his fantasy upside is likely to be limited again as the presumed No. 2 option on offense behind Curry. In 30 regular-season appearances, Butler produced 17.9 points, 5.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 0.6 three-pointers in 32.7 minutes per game.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Modest effort in Game 4 loss

Butler ended Monday's 117-110 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 14 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block across 34 minutes. Butler fell short of the mark, unable to lift the Warriors to victory. Golden State has now lost three straight games and faces the prospect of elimination in Game 5. Stephen Curry remains questionable due to a hamstring injury, but should he be unable to play, Butler will need to do more on both ends of the floor in the hopes of extending the series.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Goes for 33 points in Game 3 loss

Butler notched 33 points (12-26 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds and seven assists in 43 minutes during Saturday's 102-97 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Butler was the dominant force the Warriors needed to have a chance at securing their second win in the series, but his elite stat line wasn't enough, even though he ended just three boards and three assists away from a triple-double. Butler has unsurprisingly emerged as the Warriors' most reliable offensive weapon in the absence of Stephen Curry (hamstring). He's averaging 23.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the series.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Stuffs stat sheet in Game 2

Butler supplied 17 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Thursday's 117-93 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Butler should be the Warriors' go-to option on offense while Stephen Curry (hamstring) is sidelined. While he did a good job in Game 2, more should be expected of him. Without including Game 2 of the series against Houston in which he departed after eight minutes due to a pelvic injury, this was just the second time Butler didn't reach the 20-point mark in the current postseason run.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Sniffs triple-double

Butler produced 20 points (7-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 11 rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 41 minutes during Tuesday's 99-88 win over the Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Butler was one of several Golden State players who stepped up following the exit of Stephen Curry (hamstring), and the veteran forward carried the team offensively while ending just two boards shy of a triple-double. Butler should operate as the Warriors' go-to option on offense going forward as long as Curry remains out. He's perfectly comfortable in that role, and the numbers back him up since he's scored at least 20 points in four of his previous five playoff appearances.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Thrives at charity stripe

Butler accumulated 27 points (7-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 12-14 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one block over 42 minutes during Friday's 115-107 loss to the Rockets in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Butler has been an inconsistent scorer all series, tallying at least 25 points three times but failing to score double-digit points twice. In his five appearances this playoffs against Houston, the star forward is averaging 18.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.4 minutes on 45.0/23.1/84.6 shooting splits.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Ready to play for Game 5

Butler (pelvis) will play in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Rockets, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Head coach Steve Kerr notes that Butler is likely still in pain due to the pelvic contusion he sustained in last Wednesday's Game 2 loss to Houston, but that didn't stop the star forward from logging 40 minutes in Monday's Game 4 victory. Over his three postseason appearances this year, Butler has averaged 18.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 three-pointers in 30.0 minutes while shooting 50.0 percent from deep. Butler should be able to handle a full workload Wednesday.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Likely to play Wednesday

Butler (pelvis) is listed as probable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Rockets. Butler is expected to suit up as the Warriors attempt to close out their first-round series against Houston on Wednesday. The star forward sustained the pelvic contusion after playing only eight minutes in last Wednesday's Game 2 loss and subsequently missed Saturday's Game 3 victory. However, Butler played 40 minutes in Monday's Game 4 win, posting 27 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 12-12 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one block.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Leads Dubs to win in return

Butler logged 27 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 12-12 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one block across 40 minutes during Monday's 109-106 victory over the Rockets in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. After missing most of Game 2 and sitting out Game 3 due to a pelvic contusion, Butler demonstrated that he was healthy by leading the Warriors in scoring in his return while also tying Brandin Podziemski for the team lead in court time. Playoff Jimmy was in full effect down the stretch in the fourth quarter, as he scored Golden State's last seven points while also grabbing a key rebound with four seconds left. Butler has scored at least 25 points in each of his two full games this postseason, and he's likely to come up big again Wednesday in Game 5 as the Warriors try to punch their tickets to the second round.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Good to go Monday

Butler (pelvis) is available for Monday's Game 4 against the Rockets, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Butler will return to action after missing Saturday's Game 3 win over the Rockets due to a pelvic contusion. The veteran forward sustained the injury after playing only eight minutes in Wednesday's Game 2 loss, though he'll return for Game 4 as the club looks to take a 3-1 series lead. Coach Steve Kerr stated in his pregame presser that Butler won't be on a minutes restriction, and that his workload will depend on his pain tolerance and how he feels throughout the matchup, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Likely to play Game 4

Butler (pelvis) is expected to play Monday in Game 4 against the Rockets, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Butler missed Game 3 after suffering a pelvic injury eight minutes in Game 2, but he's trending toward returning to the floor Monday. In Game 1, Butler played a pivotal role in helping the Warriors take a 1-0 series lead, finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals. If the veteran star is cleared to play, he will increase the team's chances of taking a commanding 3-1 series lead and moving one step closer to advancing to the second round.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Goes through shootaround

Butler was able to participate in Monday's morning shootaround, ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk reports. The shootaround was a light walkthrough, but Butler's availability bodes well for his status for Game 4 -- he remains listed as questionable. If Butler can play, it will be interesting to see if Jonathan Kuminga is forced completely out of the rotation again.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Not playing in Game 3

Butler (pelvis) is out for Game 3 against the Rockets on Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Butler was initially deemed as questionable for Game 3, but in the end, the star forward will be sidelined for this matchup. Jonathan Kuminga will start in his place and should be in line for an elevated role in terms of playing time.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Officially deemed questionable

The Warriors announced Friday that Butler has been diagnosed with a left pelvic and deep gluteal muscle contusion and will be listed as questionable Saturday for Game 3 of the team's first-round playoff series matchup with the Rockets. Butler left Game 2 with 1:51 remaining in the first quarter after being undercut by Amen Thompsonand falling hard to the court, but he seems to have avoided a long-term injury. However, if Butler is forced to miss Game 3, Jonathan Kuminga -- who had been out of the rotation for Game 1 but played 26 minutes following Butler's departure in Game 2 -- would likely be in store for an elevated role once again.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Status in question for Game 3

Butler has been diagnosed with a deep glute muscle bruise and is in danger of sitting out Saturday in Game 3 of the Warriors' first-round playoff series with the Rockets, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Butler was unable to return to Wednesday's Game 2 loss after suffering a hard fall to the floor late in the first quarter. While an MRI on Thursday cleared Butler of any structural damage, he'll still be in jeopardy of sitting out Saturday. The Warriors will undoubtedly monitor the star forward's status closely over the next couple of days before making a final call on his availability, but he's expected to be officially listed as questionable on the team's upcoming injury report, per NBA reporter Chris Haynes.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Won't return Wednesday

Butler has been diagnosed with a pelvis contusion and will not return to Wednesday's game against the Rockets. Butler took a hard fall during the first quarter after being undercut by Amen Thompson while jumping for a rebound and looked to be in significant pain. While early indications are that it isn't a severe injury, Butler will be unable to play for the remainder of Wednesday's contest. He'll have two full days to heal before Game 3 on Saturday. In the meantime, look for Jonathan Kuminga, Gui Santos and Gary Payton to see more run. Per Sam Gordon of the San Francisco Chronicle, Butler will undergo an MRI on Thursday.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Heads to locker room

Butler has exited Wednesday's Game 2 against Houston and headed back to the locker room with an apparent tailbone injury, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports. Butler got undercut while going up for a rebound and was grabbing at his tailbone area before exiting the floor. While he's idle, look for Gui Santos and Gary Payton to see more action, though Jonathan Kuminga could see some run after being a DNP-CD in Game 1.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Strong line in Game 1 win

Butler supplied 25 points (10-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and five steals over 42 minutes during Sunday's 95-85 victory over Houston in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Butler and Stephen Curry combined for 56 points, while the Warriors' defense held the Rockets to 39.1 percent shooting from the floor and a woeful 20.7 percent from beyond the arc in the victory. Butler has stepped up at the right time for Golden State, scoring at least 24 points in five straight games while averaging 29.0 points, 7.0 assists, 4.8 boards, 2.6 steals and 1.2 threes and shooting 58.4 percent from the floor.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Steps up in Play-In Game

Butler tallied 38 points (12-20 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 12-18 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in 40 minutes during Tuesday's 121-116 win over the Grizzlies. Butler proved that his "Playoff Jimmy" nickname carries over to the Play-In Tournament by leading Golden State in scoring with a season-high 38 points. Butler was able to get to the line at will, as he shot 18 free throws individually compared to Memphis' 23 total as a team. The star forward was also active defensively and will be a key factor if the Warriors are able to advance past the Rockets in their first-round playoff matchup.

  • Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Team-high nine assists in defeat

Butler closed Sunday's 124-119 overtime loss to the Clippers with 30 points (12-20 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-9 FT), one rebound, nine assists, one block and one steal across 48 minutes. Butler tallied his fourth 30-point performance of the season and first since landing in Golden State, but his near double-double couldn't lift the team out of the Play-In Tournament. It's worth noting Butler appeared to be hobbling after sustaining a knee to his left thigh late in Sunday's game, so his status for Tuesday's tilt against the Grizzlies is worth monitoring. The All-Star forward had a slow start in the scoring department after joining the Warriors, but he picked up his production during the last month of the regular season by averaging 19.5 points, 6.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 33.7 minutes through his last 15 appearances.
