The Hawks waived Harris on Friday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. • Hawks' Kevon Harris: Not starting after all

Updating a previous report, Harris won't be in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Thunder, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. • Clippers' Kevon Harris: Inks training camp deal with LAC

Harris has signed a training camp deal with the Clippers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. It's possible that with an impressive training camp, Harris may be able to land a two-way deal with the Clippers for the upcoming season, but it would take a cluster of injuries for him to gain any relevancy in fantasy hoops.

  • Kevon Harris: Not retained by Orlando

The Magic declined to extend Harris a $1.87 million qualifying offer Friday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports. Harris spent the past two seasons in Orlando after striking a two-year, two-way deal with the Magic in the summer of 2022. He appeared in 34 games with Orlando in 2022-23, but with the club becoming more competitive and reaching the playoffs in 2023-24, Harris was often inactive and saw action in just two contests at the NBA level. Harris was solid at G League level with the Osceola Magic in 2023-24 -- he averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 28.8 minutes per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from three-point range over 27 appearances -- but since he already turned 27 years old earlier this month, it's unlikely that another organization will view him as a development piece worthy of a two-way spot during the upcoming season.

  • Magic's Kevon Harris: Won't play Tuesday

Harris (coach's decision) is inactive Tuesday against Washington. Harris has yet to log an NBA or G League debut this season. He was sidelined to begin the season while recovering from right knee soreness, but the two-way signee is amid a lengthy string of DNP-CDs at the moment.

  • Magic's Kevon Harris: Not available Friday

Harris is listed as out for Friday's game against the Wizards in a coach's decision. Harris -- who is one of the Magic's two-way players -- has yet to make his NBA or G League debut this season. He was sidelined to begin the season while recovering from right knee soreness, but he's been ruled out for Orlando's more recent contests due to what the Magic have attributed to coach's decisions. The Magic haven't provided an explanation behind Harris' recent absences, but it's possible the team is holding him out in order to conserve his games count at the NBA level. Two-way players are eligible to be active for up to 50 games in a given season.

  • Magic's Kevon Harris: Listed as out

Harris is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to a coach's decision. Harris has yet to play this season. It's unclear why the Magic are listing him on the injury report when he doesn't have an injury, but the second-year wing isn't on fantasy radars, even in deep leagues.

  • Magic's Kevon Harris: Scores team-high 22 points

Harris finished Sunday's 123-110 loss to the Heat with 22 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-7 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes. Harris made the most of a favorable situation, scoring a team-high 22 points, including 4-of-7 from the perimeter. In what has been a quiet season for Harris, he at least ended on a positive note. Moving forward, it is hard to see him as anything more than a depth piece on a Magic team that has plenty of young prospects to pick from on any given night.

  • Magic's Kevon Harris: Plays 24 minutes Thursday

Harris (elbow) put up eight points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one assist and one steal across 24 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers. After missing three straight contests with a bruised left elbow, Harris was cleared to play ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Cleveland, but he didn't see the court in a coach's decision in the Magic's 117-113 loss. With Orlando holding all five of their regular starters out Thursday, however, Harris re-entered the rotation in the rematch. All five of those regular starters are listed as questionable for the second leg of the back-to-back set Friday in Brooklyn, and if all five are cleared to play, Harris will likely find himself back outside of the rotation.

Harris (face) did not play in Tuesday's 123-105 loss to the Blue Coats.
