Bills vs. Falcons updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Bills vs. Falcons football game
The Atlanta Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
It was all tied up 10-10 at the half for the Falcons and the Detroit Lions last week, but Atlanta stepped up in the second half for a 20-16 win. No one had a standout game offensively for Atlanta, but they got scores from TE Hayden Hurst and RB Cordarrelle Patterson. QB Matt Ryan ended up with a passer rating of 164.
Meanwhile, Buffalo bagged a 33-21 victory over the New England Patriots last week. It was another big night for Buffalo's QB Josh Allen, who passed for three TDs and 314 yards on 47 attempts in addition to picking up 64 yards on the ground. Allen ended up with a passer rating of 141.
Atlanta have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 14.50 point spread they are up against. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the squad is 1-5 ATS when expected to lose.
The wins brought the Falcons up to 7-8 and the Bills to 9-6. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Atlanta is stumbling into the matchup with the fourth most touchdowns allowed in the NFL, having given up 43 on the season. Buffalo's defense has more to brag about, as they they enter the contest with only 11 passing touchdowns allowed, which is the best in the league. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
