The Redskins received a boost in their secondary with the return of CB Cedric Griffin, who missed the final four regular-season games while serving a drug suspension. But he practiced Wednesday and likely will play vs. Seattle on Sunday.

Griffin adds a physical corner and his ability to play outside enables DeAngelo Hall to cover in the slot. The Redskins lack much depth beyond their first three corners. For Griffin, returning was good, but he was not pleased with what happened.

"Any time you face embarrassment in the public, it's kind of tough, but at the same time, it's how you come back," Griffin said. "I'm not really worried about what people say or what the media says. It was a fault on my behalf, and that's something I got to take up."

Injury report: LG Kory Lichtensteiger (sprained left ankle) did not practice and said he'll likely be a game-time decision Sunday. Lichtensteiger sprained his ankle vs. Dallas on Sunday and returned for a series before exiting again. Rookie Josh LeRibeus would replace him. LB London Fletcher (ankle), QB Kirk Cousins (flu) and CB D.J. Johnson (knee) also did not practice.

Playoff mindset: Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said nothing will change for his team now that they're in the postseason. In their minds, that's where they've been since they were 3-6, knowing that another loss would eliminate them.

"We're used to this scenario," Shanahan said. "The only thing we talked about instead of playing for the NFC East is now you're playing to win the Super Bowl. For us it's a four-round fight ... but it's business as usual."
