  • Kevin Hogan: Let go by Titans

Tennesse cut Hogan from the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Hogan spent the 2021 campaign with Tennessee's practice squad before re-signing with this unit Dec. 13. However, the veteran journeyman never worked his way onto the active roster even though starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) ended the season on IR, as Joshua Dobbs stepped into the No. 1 role ahead of rookie Malik Willis. Hogan will now likely look for a new team where he'll have a chance to make his NFL debut heading into the 2023 season.

  • Kevin Hogan: Lands in Tennessee

Hogan signed with the Titans' practice squad Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The addition of Hogan comes after the team had fellow quarterback Logan Woodside signed off their practice squad by the Falcons. The former spent time with the Titans last season, so he should be familiar with the system and give them an emergency option behind Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis.

  • Texans' Kevin Hogan: Let go by Houston

Hogan was cut by the Texans on Monday, Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reports.

Hogan had been in camp with the Texans after signing a contract with the team in May. The 29-year-old quarterback will hope to secure a spot with another team prior to the start of the 2022 season.

  • Texans' Kevin Hogan: Inks deal with Houston

Hogan agreed to a contract with the Texans on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

After being cut by the Titans following the 2022 NFL Draft last weekend, Hogan didn't take long to find a new home. Since being selected in the fifth round of the 2016, Hogan has bounced around the league, spending time with the Browns, Commanders, Broncos and Bengals while appearing in nine career games. Hogan will likely compete against Kyle Allen and Jeff Driskel for backup duties to top signal-caller Davis Mills.

  • Kevin Hogan: Cut by Tennessee

Hogan was waived by the Titans on Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Hogan signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans at the end of January after spending the final few months on the team's practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster for Week 13, but he played just seven snaps during the blowout loss to New England. With Hogan gone, Malik Willis is expected to operate as the primary backup to Ryan Tannehill.

  • Titans' Kevin Hogan: Lands contract with Titans

The Titans signed Hogan to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Hogan joined Tennessee's practice squad in November and was elevated to the active roster for the team's Week 13 matchup against New England. He played just seven offensive snaps during the blowout loss but now will remain with the team to begin the offseason. The 29-year-old could compete with Logan Woodside to serve as the No. 2 quarterback ahead of the 2022 campaign.

  • Kevin Hogan: Reverts to practice squad

Hogan reverted to Tennessee's practice squad Wednesday, per the NFL transactions log.

Hogan was elevated to the active roster for last week's loss to the Patriots, in which he backed up Ryan Tannehill with Logan Woodside on the reserve/COVID-19 list. If Woodside's not ready to return after Tennessee's Week 13 bye, Hogan would be a candidate for another elevation.

  • Titans' Kevin Hogan: Elevated for Sunday

Hogan was elevated from the Titans' practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Hogan joined Tennessee's practice squad earlier in November and is a gameday elevation for Week 12. He'll serve as the backup quarterback to starter Ryan Tannehill since Logan Woodside (undisclosed) is on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

  • Kevin Hogan: Joins Titans' practice squad

Tennessee signed Hogan to the practice squad Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Hogan's opportunity comes after Matt Barkley was poached off the Titans' practice squad by the Panthers. The 29-year-old veteran hasn't suited up for regular-season action since 2017, when he appeared in four games for the Browns.

  • Kevin Hogan: Reverts to practice squad

Hogan reverted to Cincinnati's practice squad from the active roster Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

The 28-year-old was elevated as an extra player for Week 15 and served as the backup quarterback with Brandon Allen (knee) sidelined. Hogan was active but didn't see the field behind Ryan Finley. He could fill a similar role next weekend of Allen remains unavailable.

  • Bengals' Kevin Hogan: Bumps to active roster

The Bengals elevated Hogan to the active roster Monday.

With Brandon Allen (knee) ruled out for Monday's game against the Steelers, Hogan will add quarterback depth behind Ryan Finley. Hogan hasn't played since 2017, when he took the field in four games for the Browns and registered 517 passing yards (6.9 yards per attempt), four touchdowns and five interceptions.

  • Kevin Hogan: Joins Bengals' practice squad

Hogan signed with Cincinnati's practice squad Saturday.

The 28-year-old last saw game action in 2017 with the Browns, but he'll now receive an opportunity with the Bengals. Hogan provides depth behind Brandon Allen and Ryan Finley now that Joe Burrow (knee) is on injured reserve.

  • Kevin Hogan: Cut by Broncos

Hogan was waived by the Broncos on Saturday, Mike Klis of NBC 9News Denver reports.

Hogan was originally considered the frontrunner for the Broncos' backup quarterback position with rookie Drew Lock (thumb) injured, but did not have an outstanding preseason, throwing three interceptions and only one touchdown. Brett Rypien had been competing with Hogan for the No. 2 spot behind starter Joe Flacco and appears to have secured the position for the time being.

  • Broncos' Kevin Hogan: Pair of picks in preseason finale

Hogan completed 12 of 23 passes for 138 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the Broncos' 20-7 preseason win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Hogan outgained fellow signal-caller Brett Rypien in passing yardage, but he averaged just 6.0 yards per attempt and short-circuited two drives with his picks. The third-year quarterback is battling Rypien to open the season as Joe Flacco's primary backup, and neither has has pulled clearly ahead of the other with their play. Therefore, further insight will have to be gleaned from final cuts and related developments over the coming days.

  • Broncos' Kevin Hogan: Posts 83 total yards

Hogan started Saturday's 10-6 preseason loss to the Rams, completing eight of 12 attempts for 69 yards and rushing four times for 14 yards while playing the first three series.

The third-year signal-caller did well during his starting stint, though it's worth noting the Rams did not treat the contest as any sort of dress rehearsal. In fact, Los Angeles sat its first-team defense, but Hogan was able to lead an 11-play, 63-yard march that culminated in a field goal on his last possession of the game. Coach Vic Fangio has stated Brett Rypien is competing with Hogan for the No. 2 quarterback job to open the season with Drew Lock (thumb) sidelined, and Hogan appears to have turned in a more productive performance Saturday on a yards-per-attempt basis while also flashing his signature mobility.

  • Broncos' Kevin Hogan: Starting Saturday versus Rams

Hogan will start during Saturday's preseason game against the Rams, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Hogan's chances of earning a 53-man roster spot improve for the time being with Drew Lock (thumb) recovering from a thumb sprain. Lock will skip the beginning of the regular season, leaving Hogan and Brett Rypien to vie for the backup job to open 2019. Hogan's start Thursday is likely another indicator that he's in the lead for that role.

  • Broncos' Kevin Hogan: Chances of making roster increase

Hogan is in good position to open the season as Denver's backup quarterback while rookie Drew Lock (thumb) is on the mend, Michael Spencer of CBS 4 Denver reports.

Coach Vic Fangio has declined to provide a timeline for Lock's return, though it's widely anticipated that his absence will stretch into the regular season. Hogan has mostly garnered negative reviews this offseason and completed just five of 15 passes for 40 yards and an interception in Monday's exhibition against the 49ers, though he did break off a 24-yard touchdown scamper. Unless the Broncos grow pessimistic about Lock's timetable and expect him to miss a large chunk of the season, the team might not be motivated to invest significant resources into upgrading its depth behind starter Joe Flacco. That bodes well for Hogan, who will use the final two preseason games to create separation from undrafted rookie Brett Rypien for the No. 2 gig.
