Cowboys' Micah Parsons: Present for voluntary workouts
Rotowire
Parsons is present for the start of the Cowboys' voluntary offseason workout program Monday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Parsons, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract and seeking a long-term extension, said at the end of the 2024 campaign that he intended to participate in voluntary workouts. The last two years, as Archer notes, Parson normally skipped out on attending the voluntary portion of the Cowboys' offseason. Parsons has tallied at least 12.0 sacks in four consecutive seasons to begin his NFL career and is reportedly seeking a new deal in the range of $200 million, per Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News, which would make him the highest paid non-quarterback in league history.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Not looking great for Week 1
Rotowire
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said last week that there's a "good chance" Overshown (knee) "may not be available" come Week 1 of the 2025 campaign, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Overshown had surgery Dec. 18 to address ACL, MCL and PCL tears in his right knee. He said his recovery timeline is nine months, which doesn't out a Week 1 appearance, although the timing and severity of his injury mean it won't come as any surprise if he isn't ready for the start of the season. The 2024 third-round pick had a fantastic rookie year pre-injury, starting 12 of his 13 games and recording 90 tackles (including 5.0 sacks), four pass defenses (including one interception), one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Overshown logged four games in which he played every defensive snap and four others at 85 percent or higher, earning a three-down role within the first month of his pro career.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: In doubt for start of season
Rotowire
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said last week that there's a "good chance" Diggs (knee) "may not be available" come Week 1, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Diggs had surgery in late January to address a cartilage injury to the same left knee in which he suffered an ACL tear in Sept. 2023. He returned from the ACL surgery to play 11 games last season, including each of the Cowboys' first 10 games, fighting through foot, ankle and calf injuries before a groin injury finally sidelined him. He returned after missing two weeks, only to suffer the season-ending knee cartilage injury during his first game back. He's now facing a lengthy rehab from a surgery that took place seven and a half months before Week 1.

Rotowire
The Cowboys and Odighizuwa agreed to terms Tuesday on a four-year, $80 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The 27-year-old put together the best season of his career in 2024, with 47 tackles and 4.5 sacks across 17 regular-season appearances. His new deal reportedly includes $58 million guaranteed. For fantasy purposes, Odighizuwa looks slated to repeat as a high-end option in IDP formats that require starters at the defensive tackle position.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Undergoes procedure on knee
Rotowire
Diggs underwent surgery on his left knee Sunday, and his recovery timeline could keep him out for the beginning of training camp in July, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Diggs was placed on injured reserve Dec. 21 due to a left knee injury. He was slated to undergo surgery in late December, but Archer relays that the delay had to due with the growing of the graft to ensure best results from a procedure that's considered the latest improvement on traditional microfracture surgery. Regardless, Diggs has a lengthy recovery timeline ahead of him, and it appears that he will not be at full health for the start of training camp. The 2020 second-round pick finished the 2024 regular season with 42 tackles (35 solo) and 11 pass defenses (including two interceptions) across 11 games.

Lawrence suffered a foot injury in Week 4 of the 2024 campaign and did not play the rest of the year, finishing with 14 tackles (seven solo), including 3.0 sacks, and a forced fumble.
The 11th-year veteran's exact injury was a right mid-foot sprain, and he was placed on injured reserve in early October. Lawrence concluded a three-year contract with Dallas this season, and he will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The defensive end made the Pro Bowl after the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.

Rotowire
Lawson finished the 2024 season with 15 tackles (seven solo), including 5.0 sacks, 15 QB hits and one forced fumble across 15 games.
Lawson started just three games this past season for Dallas, operating as a sub-package edge rusher behind Micah Parsons and Chauncey Golston. It was a nice bounce-back season for the 29-year-old after he dealt with a torn Achilles tendon and a back issue in his time with the Jets from 2021-23. Lawson failed to record a single sack across six games for New York in 2023 and didn't sign with Dallas until August of 2024 after Sam Williams tore his ACL. Lawson is scheduled to head back to free agency in March.

Rotowire
Liufau finished the 2024 season with 50 tackles (30 solo), including 1.5 sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery across 17 games.
Selected in the third round, at No. 87 overall, of the 2024 NFL Draft, Liufau made nine starts as a rookie, playing 47 percent of the Cowboys' defensive snaps. Liufau took over every-down linebacker duties during the final four weeks of the season after DeMarvion Overshown suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL in his right knee.
