The Jets finished last season as a top-five Fantasy unit despite the fact that their offense could not stay on the field. With Aaron Rodgers back from his torn Achilles, they have a chance to challenge for No. 1 overall. While the Jets used their first five draft picks on the offensive side of the ball, they did add Haason Reddick via trade and signed Javon Kinlaw and Isaiah Oliver to one-year deals. They should once again be drafted as a top-five unit in one of the final two rounds of Fantasy drafts.

  • Tae Hayes: Let go by Jets

The Jets cut Hayes on Monday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Per the report, the move arrives a day after the cornerback -- who first saw NFL action in 2019 -- was arrested in Alabama for possession of marijuana. Hayes, who signed with the Jets' practice squad last October, recorded two tackles in Week 6 of the 2023 season and then spent the remainder of the campaign on the team's practice squad.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Not attending minicamp

Reddick is not present for Tuesday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Reddick, who joined the Jets via trade from the Eagles back in March, hasn't attended spring practices with New York as he seeks a new contract. The veteran edge rusher has put together four straight seasons with double-digit sacks, but with only one more year now remaining on his deal, Reddick is looking for an extension. The Jets could be more amendable to keeping Reddick around on a long-term deal after having let Bryce Huff walk in free agency. Per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, Reddick's current absence goes against previous indications that he would attend his new team's offseason program.

  • Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta

Anae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

  • Jets' Jaylen Key: Joins New York as final pick

The Jets selected Key in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 257th overall. The final pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, Key was a three-star recruit all the way back in 2018, playing five seasons with UAB before transferring to Alabama for his final collegiate campaign. A solid athlete with an unspectacular frame (6-foot-1), Key will have an opportunity to be a special teams ace for the Jets immediately off the rip and could carve out a role as a depth safety in due time.

  • Jets' Qwan'tez Stiggers: New York snatches at end of Round 5

The Jets selected Stiggers in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 176th overall. Stiggers had to take an unorthodox path to the NFL due to life circumstances that prevented him from playing college football in the USA, but after a long story he managed to draw the interest of the CFL, where he won the equivalent of its Rookie of the Year award. Still only 22 years old, Stiggers is a legitimate prospect at corner despite the many unprecedented details in his profile. At 6-feet, 204 pounds, it will be interesting to see if Stiggers gets some looks at safety, but he otherwise profiles as a heavy corner.

  • Jets' Michael Carter: Nine passes defensed in 2023

Carter finished the 2023 season with 50 tackles (37 solo) and nine passes defensed over 15 games. Carter was among the league's top performing nickel cornerbacks while Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed patrolled the outside for a Jets secondary that allowed the fewest catches, receiving yards and touchdowns to wide receivers in 2023. While Carter's 50 tackles were a career low, he posted nine passes defensed for a second consecutive season. Reed is the senior member of that group at age 27, and he has been remarkably consistent, posting between 76 and 80 tackles and between nine and 12 passes defensed in each of his last three seasons. All three cornerbacks are projected to be back in 2024, with Reed entering the final year of his contract with the Jets.
