Saints' Jeff Heath: Inks deal with Saints
Heath signed a deal to join the Saints' active roster Tuesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Heath was active for the Saints' Week 1 contest against the Packers but would have reverted back to the practice squad had he not been signed to the active roster. He played primarily on special teams in the opening contest, though he also earned nine defensive snaps and recorded two total tackles.

Saints' Jeff Heath: Returns to Saints
Heath was added to the Saints' practice squad Saturday and was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Packers, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Heath was released by the Saints on Friday, but he'll rejoin the team a day later. He'll provide depth in the secondary during Sunday's season opener before he attempts to make an impression with the team's practice squad.

Raiders' Jeff Heath: Will be released by Raiders
Heath will be released by the Raiders on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The veteran safety will become a free agent after recording 37 tackles (28 solo), four passes defensed and three interceptions across 13 games last season. Heath (concussion) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Heath is eligible to practice this week and could return for the season finale against the Broncos. Coming off a concussion, the Raiders may exercise caution for a game with no playoff implications. Raiders' Jeff Heath: Moves to injured reserve
Heath (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Josh Dubow of the Associated Press reports.
The 29-year-old was already ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Colts, but he'll now be sidelined for at least the next three games. Heath will be eligible to return for Week 17, though it's unclear if he'll be healthy by that point. Erik Harris is expected to take over at free safety for the Raiders.

Raiders' Jeff Heath: Won't suit up Sunday
Heath (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Colts, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Heath has been taking on more responsibility of late, playing more than 80 percent of the snaps on defense over the last two weeks. However, the veteran safety is working through the league's five-step concussion protocol. Erik Harris should step in and start at free safety in Heath's place.

Raiders' Jeff Heath: Stacks up 10 stops
Heath produced 10 tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's 43-6 loss to the Falcons.
Heath started at free safety over Erik Harris, who ended up playing just four snaps on defense. It's unclear if this will become the norm for Las Vegas. However, it certainly worked out well for Health, who generated a season high in tackles after recording just 17 stops through the first 10 games.

Raiders' Jeff Heath: Picks off Lock twice in win
Heath notched one solo tackle, two defended passes and two interceptions during Sunday's 37-12 win over the Broncos.
Heath once again only filled a rotational role in Las Vegas' secondary (48 percent of snaps) Sunday, but he made the most of his opportunities en route to being named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network notes. The 29-year-old now has three interceptions on the year, but he'll be difficult to trust for IDP purposes against the Chiefs in Week 11 while playing a part-time role.
