Broncos' Devon Key: Tendered by Denver
Key was tendered a contract by the Broncos on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Key will remain with Denver after heading into the offseason as an exclusive-rights free agent, earning $960,000 in 2025. The safety appeared in all 17 of the team's regular season games in 2024, compiling 33 total tackles (17 solo), including 1.0 sacks.

Key finished the 2024 regular season with 33 tackles (17 solo), including 1.0 sacks, across 17 games.
Key appeared in one regular-season game in 2023 while spending most of the year on the Broncos' practice squad. He made Denver's 53-man roster at the end of training camp, split his 496 snaps evenly between defense (240) and special teams (256) and even started at safety in Week 9 and 11. Key will likely remain in a backup role at safety behind Brandon Jones and P.J. Locke for the 2025 campaign.

Key drew his second start of the season at free safety in Sunday's blowout loss and was one of the few bright spots on the Broncos' defense, leading the team in total tackles. The second-year pro has now played 107 defensive snaps across Denver's last two games, tallying 13 stops. Expect Key to continue making plays for the Broncos' defense as the team travels to Kansas City in Week 10.
