The Jaguars signed Williams to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Selected by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Williams played in two games for Denver as a rookie, catching his lone target for a 34-yard gain. He hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since. Williams caught seven of eight targets for 109 scoreless yards last preseason and spent time on the Jaguars' practice squad.

Williams is staying in Jacksonville via its practice squad.
Williams spent the 2022 season on the Jaguars' practice squad, and he is entering a nearly identical situation this year. The 23-year-old was competing against a plethora of pass catchers during training camp, but ultimately ended up as the odd man out. He will now continue competing at practice while awaiting an opportunity to get called up to the active roster.

Williams was a sixth-round pick in 2021 by Denver, but he failed to make the Broncos' initial 53-man roster last year after appearing in just two games as a rookie. The wideout spent all of 2022 on Jacksonville's practice squad but was never elevated. Williams could be looking at a similar role in 2023 if he clears waivers.

Williams signed with the Jaguars' practice squad after being waived by Denver ahead of the initial 53-man roster deadline. He spent the entire campaign with Jacksonville but wasn't elevated for any games. With his new contract, he'll be able to stick around the organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Williams, who was waived by Denver prior to the NFL's 53-man roster deadline, will now provide added depth for Jacksonville should any of the team's wide receivers miss time. During his rookie campaign, Williams struggled to produce on the stat sheet, as he caught just one pass for 34 yards in two games played.

Williams was an active participant during Denver's opening day of training camp Wednesday, The Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
Williams missed time during the Broncos' minicamp in June for undisclosed reasons. The wideout spent the majority of his 2021 rookie campaign on Denver's practice squad, and he figures to compete with Kendall Hinton, Montrell Washington and Travis Fulgham for the team's final receiver spot during training camp.
