Bills' Kyle Williams: Final hurrah Sunday
Williams will retire from football following the team's finale Sunday against the Dolphins, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
The Bills will say goodbye to one of the best defensive players in team history, a 2006 fifth-rounder that ended up out-kicking his draft slotting in almost every imaginable way. Williams will finish his career with 48.5 sacks (plus whatever he might get Sunday) and over 600 tackles. His relentless play, a style which never really tapered off even in his mid-30s, and leadership in the locker room will be missed by a team that's been playing for the future for several weeks.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Ready for Patriots
Williams (back) practiced fully Friday and is not listed on the injury report for Sunday's game at New England.
With his career starting to wind down, even if Williams was on the injury report it'd take a lot to keep him off the field for what could end up being his last crack at the Patriots. Williams and Lorenzo Alexander remain the heart and soul of the defense even into their mid-30's, and it's expected the Bills will take a stab at recruiting them back for another season, even if their roles end up slightly reduced.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Limited Thursday
Williams (back) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Williams hasn't missed any game time due to his back injury but was held out of practice entirely Wednesday, though it's worth noting the veteran is often given Wednesdays off even when he's not banged up. His limited session Thursday bodes well for his Week 16 status, though he should still be considered questionable for the time being.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Absent from Wednesday's practice
Williams didn't practice Wednesday due to a back issue, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Williams hasn't missed a game this season and wasn't reported to have suffered an injury in the Week 15 win over the Lions, so it's possible he's just getting a maintenance day as the Bills kick off their preparations for Week 16. Through his 14 appearances in 2018, Williams has logged 30 tackles, five sacks and a forced fumble.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Tallies 1.5 sacks in win
Williams recorded seven tackles (four solo), including 1.5 sacks, in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
Williams turned back the clock a bit Sunday. His seven tackles were his most in a game since 2016 and his 1.5 sacks gives him 5.0 on the season. The veteran defensive lineman is having another quality year, though his 24 tackles through 11 games are low by his standards. He'll look to continue his strong play as the Bills aim for a third straight win when they take on they Dolphins in Week 13.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Biggest game of 2018 season
Williams posted three tackles, 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble during Sunday's loss to the Texans.
Williams may be 35 like his teammate Lorenzo Alexander, but the two of them are playing like guys a decade younger. While Williams doesn't see a full allotment of plays anymore and probably doesn't put up the stats to make him IDP worthy -- 12 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble -- he's still a starter putting up meaningful production for one of the league's better (and more surprising) defenses. The Buffalo defense is simply better when its heart and soul is on the field.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Fully recovered, ready for opener
Williams, who injured his knee in the second preseason game and didn't return to practice until Monday, practiced fully all week and does not appear on the Week 1 injury report, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Coach Sean McDermott has declared his veteran leader ready to go for Sunday's opener in Baltimore, where he'll work with Star Lotulelei and rookie Harrison Phillips to form a pretty solid interior defensive line.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Returns to practice, unsure of status
Williams returned to practice Monday for the first time since injuring his knee in the second preseason game, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
Williams and the Bills won't know until later in the week if he'll be able to go for the opener in Baltimore. Even if he plays, the team is prepared to give rookie Harrison Phillips a decent amount of playing time behind his mentor, based on Phillips' strong preseason as well as trying to manage Williams' health.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Tagged as week-to-week
Williams (knee) is "week-to-week" after tests for a torn ACL came back negative, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
Williams will likely miss the rest of the preseason and his absence could leak into the regular season as well. The 13-year pro recorded 105 tackles and eight sacks over the last two seasons, and Adolphus Washington will see an uptick in snaps while Williams sits out.

Bills' Kyle Williams: Out with knee injury
Williams won't return to Friday's preseason game against the Browns due to a knee injury.
Williams injured his knee in the first half of Friday's game and was taken to the locker room. The team hasn't clarified the specifics or the severity of the issue to this point. Look for Adolphus Washington and Harrison Phillips to see some extra reps as long as Williams is out.
