  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Erupts for four points before break

Jarvis scored two goals, one on the power play, and added two assists, one shorthanded, in Saturday's 7-3 win over Utah. In his final game before representing Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off, Jarvis demonstrated why he won a spot despite being the youngest player on the roster, having just turned 23 last week. Three of his points, including both tallies, came during a four-goal second period for Carolina that broke the game open. Jarvis heads into the break with 22 goals and 45 points through 49 appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Records helper in loss

Jarvis posted an assist in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Wild. The helper was Jarvis' first point over three games in February after he racked up 11 goals and four assists over 15 contests in January. The Hurricanes are still toying with their lines -- Jackson Blake got the first chance on the top line with Sebastian Aho and Mikko Rantanen following the team's blockbuster trade with Colorado, but Jarvis was in that spot Thursday. Jarvis has played pretty well this season, earning 20 goals, 21 assists, 124 shots on net, 72 hits and a plus-1 rating over 48 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Adds insurance goal

Jarvis scored a goal on two shots, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Rangers. There's been no slowing down Jarvis in January, as he has 10 goals and four assists over his last 14 contests. He's gone multiple games without a goal just once at the start of the month and has three multi-goal games. For the season, the 22-year-old has 19 tallies, 20 helpers, 117 shots on net, 67 hits and a minus-1 rating over 44 appearances. The Hurricanes' offense runs three lines deep, and Jarvis has found success with multiple combinations of linemates in 2024-25.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Seven points in last four games

Jarvis scored two goals and added two assists in a 7-4 win over Columbus on Thursday. Jarvis has seven points, including five goals, in his last four games, and he has 18 goals, 20 assists and 113 shots in 42 games on the season. That's impressive output considering he's playing on the Canes' third line. Jarvis is on his way to career marks in all three categories.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Third goal in last two games

Jarvis scored a shorthanded goal while adding three shots and a hit in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks. Jarvis has found the back of the net in consecutive games for the third time this season, and at least from a scoring perspective, there's no question the 22-year-old winger is going through a productive stretch. He has seven goals over his last eight contests, a span in which he's also tallied an assist, 22 shots on goal, 10 hits and seven blocked shots.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Pots pair of goals

Jarvis scored two goals, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights. A lineup shuffle returned Jarvis to the third line alongside Jordan Staal and Jordan Martinook. That line was the Hurricanes' best in the contest. Jarvis is having a strong January with six goals and two assists over nine outings this month. For the season, the 22-year-old is at 15 goals, 33 points, 104 shots on net, 59 hits, 29 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 39 appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Scores goal Sunday

Jarvis scored a goal while adding three shots and four hits in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks. Jarvis continues to find ways to produce in his first-line role, and he's found the back of the net four times over his last five games. The 22-year-old has been very productive in recent weeks, tallying 13 points (five goals, eight helpers) across his last 15 contests. He's also recorded 38 shots, 22 hits and 10 blocked shots in that span.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Pots empty-netter

Jarvis scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs. Jarvis continues to hum along on offense with four goals and eight assists over his last 11 contests. The 22-year-old winger put the bow on Thursday's win for the Hurricanes. Jarvis is up to 12 goals, 30 points, 92 shots on net, 54 hits, 26 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 35 appearances. He remains on pace to reach the 60-point mark for the second year in a row, but he may fall short of matching his 33-goal, 67-point effort from the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Three points in Sunday's win

Jarvis scored twice on three shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Penguins. Jarvis ended a seven-game goal drought with a pair of second-period tallies, and he also helped out on Jalen Chatfield's goal in that frame. This was Jarvis' sixth multi-point effort, two of which have come over his last five games. For the season, the 22-year-old winger is at 11 goals, 18 assists, 88 shots on net, 52 hits and a minus-2 rating through 33 appearances, mainly in a top-six role.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Bags three apples Saturday

Jarvis produced three even-strength assists in Saturday's 5-2 win over New Jersey. Jarvis recorded a helper on Dmitry Orlov's second-period marker, which tied the score at 1-1, and he assisted on both of Jack Roslovic's tallies in the final frame. It was Jarvis' first multi-point effort since Nov. 25, but perhaps this type of performance will serve as a springboard for the talented winger going forward. The Winnipeg native has logged nine goals and 24 points through 29 appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Scores Carolina's lone goal Friday

Jarvis netted a goal on three shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to Washington. Jarvis snapped Charlie Lindgren's shutout bid at 10:22 of the final frame. The goal was Jarvis' first tally since Dec. 5. Jarvis has become a dependable player at 22 years old -- the right-shot winger's average ice time has increased in each of his first four NHL campaigns. The Manitoba native is occupying a top-line role in addition to a spot on the No. 1 power-play unit, and he ranks fifth on the Hurricanes in points with nine goals and 11 helpers through 25 contests.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Lights lamp on power play

Jarvis scored a power-play goal on four shots in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers. Jarvis has four points (two on the power play, one shorthanded) over two games since he returned from a seven-game absence due to an upper-body injury. He was on the third line prior to his injury, but a lineup shuffle has him on the second line now. Jarvis can produce from just about anywhere -- he has six goals, nine helpers, eight power-play points, 42 shots on net and 21 hits over 15 appearances. He's a burgeoning power winger, and it's not crazy to think he can sustain a point-per-game pace.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Three-point effort in return

Jarvis scored a shorthanded goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 6-4 win over the Stars. The 22-year-old winger wasted little time making an impact in his return from a seven-game absence due to an upper-body injury, getting the Canes on the board midway through the first period before setting up tallies by Sebastian Aho and Martin Necas in the third. Carolina appears to have made a good investment when the team signed Jarvis to an eight-year extension in August -- through his first 14 contests of 2024-25, he's racked up five goals and 14 points.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Removed from IR

Jarvis (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday. Jarvis will be available to return from a seven-game absence versus Dallas on Monday. He has accounted for four goals, 11 points, 35 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 16 hits through 13 appearances this season. Jarvis could replace Tyson Jost against the Stars.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Skating in non-contact jersey

Jarvis (upper body) was sporting a non-contact sweater at Tuesday's practice, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. While it seems Jarvis hasn't been cleared for contact yet, the fact that he is on the ice would seem to indicate he'll at least be traveling with the team for the Canes' upcoming three-game road trip. With a back-to-back to start the trip, it seems unlikely the winger will play in Thursday's matchup with New Jersey if he isn't cleared in time to face the Flyers on Wednesday -- though he hasn't been officially ruled out for either contest.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Shifts to IR

Jarvis (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. Jarvis has already missed the last two games. He won't play Saturday versus Ottawa and Sunday against St. Louis, but he will be eligible for Wednesday's matchup in Philadelphia. However, there is no exact timeline for his return. Jarvis has four goals, 11 points, 35 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 16 hits through 13 appearances this season. Tyson Jost has been playing during Jarvis' absence.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Could return to practice next week

The Hurricanes hope that Jarvis (upper body) will be able to return to practice next week, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports Friday. Jarvis has been dealing with an upper-body injury over the past few days that has forced him to miss the last two games, and he'll likely also be sidelined Saturday against Ottawa and Sunday against St. Louis. However, he appears to be trending toward a return, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to game action shortly after he's back at practice. Whether he'll be available for Wednesday's road matchup against Philadelphia remains to be seen.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Out of lineup Monday

Jarvis won't play in Monday's road tilt against the Golden Knights due to an upper-body injury, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Jarvis will miss his first game of the season, and Tyson Jost will make his first appearance of the campaign as a result. Jarvis has produced four goals and seven assists through 13 contests. Expect an update on the right-shot winger's status ahead of Wednesday's game against Utah.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Fills empty cage

Jarvis scored an empty-net goal on four shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Flyers. Jarvis beat the buzzer in the third period to end a three-game goal drought. The 22-year-old is up to four goals, five assists, 33 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-1 rating through 11 contests. He's earned five of his nine points on the power play, and he remains on the first unit, giving him a high floor for scoring production.

  • Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Dishes two power-play assists

Jarvis logged two power-play assists, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Bruins. This was Jarvis' second multi-point effort in the last three games. He helped out on tallies by Martin Necas and Andrei Svechnikov. Jarvis has eight points through nine outings, and five of those points have come on the power play. He's added 25 shots on net, 10 hits and six PIM, and while he's on the third line at even strength, a spot on the Hurricanes' top power-play unit is valuable with the team converting at a 29.0 percent clip through October.
