Lysell spent the last few weeks with Boston and made 12 total appearances for the NHL club this year. He recorded a goal, two assists, five hits, two blocked shots and six PIM while averaging 13:27 of ice time, and he'll head back to the minors now that Boston's regular season has concluded.

Lysell's first career goal at the NHL level was on a power play midway through the second period. His first goal came just two games after he secured his first career assist against New Jersey last Tuesday. Lysell has averaged 13:47 of ice time per game since his call-up from AHL Providence on March 31 and has settled into a second-line role on the right wing. His first 11 games at the NHL level have been a solid showing, and if he can impress in the offseason, he'll have a strong chance to make the Bruins' roster for the start of the 2025-26 season.

Lysell set up Casey Mittelstadt's goal late in the second period. That assist was Lysell's first NHL point in nine appearances, all of which have come this season. The 22-year-old winger has added 14 shots on net, four hits, four PIM and a minus-2 rating while averaging 13:18 of ice time. Lysell is getting an audition on the second line late in the 2024-25 campaign, and given the Bruins' struggles this season, he should have a good chance of pushing for a roster spot to begin 2025-26.

The 20-year-old forward has plenty of upside after being selected by Boston with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft and should be worth keeping an eye on during training camp this fall. Even if Lysell fails to make the Bruins' opening-game roster, it wouldn't be surprising to see him make his NHL debut at some point during the 2023-24 campaign.
