Liverpool host Toulouse at Anfield in UEFA Europa League Group E on Thursday with both sides in the top two ahead of kick-off. The Reds have won both of their games so far against LASK Linz and Union SG while Les Violets have four points from a possible six after drawing with the Belgians and beating the Austrians. Jurgen Klopp's men came off the international break with a win in the Merseyside derby over Everton while Carles Martinez Novell's side drew with Stade de Reims and sit 10th in Ligue 1's 18-team standings. These two teams did actually meet all the way back in 2007 in UEFA Champions League qualifying with Liverpool winning 5-0 on aggregate so Toulouse will aim to keep things respectable and hope to perhaps sneak a point at home with anything on top of that an undoubted bonus from this difficult doubleheader.

Team news
Liverpool: Andrew Robertson, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are out injured while Ben Doak and Cody Gakpo are pre-game doubts. Curtis Jones is back from suspension and could come in for Dominik Szoboszlai while Wataru Endo will hope to start although Alexis Mac Allister is available. Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah will also be hopeful of starting roles while Darwin Nunez could come in for Luis Diaz or Diogo Jota with the Portuguese scoring seven goals from his last six UEL appearances.
Potential Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold; Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Endo, Gravenberch; Salah, Nunez, Diaz.
Toulouse: Zakaria Aboukhlal and Oliver Zanden are out while Ibrahim Cissoko is not quite fit although Stijn Spierings is back from a ban and should replace Vincent Sierro, Niklas Schmidt or Cristian Casseres Junior in the middle. Logan Costa is also back from suspension and should come in to partner Rasmus Nicolaisen in defense.
Potential Toulouse XI: Restes; Keben, Costa, Nicolaisen, Suazo; Spierings, Sierro, Casseres Jr; Donnum, Dallinga, Gelabert.
Prediction
Liverpool will fancy their chances here and Toulouse need to make life as difficult as possible for them. The French side can score so the English hosts must not underestimate their ability to potentially nick a goal at Anfield in an attempt to take a point. Pick: Liverpool 2, Toulouse 1.
