The 2024-25 Serie A season is back and back with a bang as the usual giants aim to fight for the title while other clubs hope they can pull of what Bologna did last season and surprisingly qualify for the Champions League. Inter and AC Milan look like the favorites to win the league on paper but teams like Juventus and Atalanta hope to spoil the party in what should be another thrilling campaign.

Game of the week: Juventus vs. AS Roma
The big matchup of the weekend will take place on Sunday when Juventus will host AS Roma at the Allianz Stadium. The Bianconeri are the only side that won the opening two games of the season and are now leading the Serie A table with six points, while Daniele De Rossi's team had a challenging start as Roma drew to Cagliari away and then later lost at home against Empoli last Sunday. This is probably the first big test for both teams and it will tell us much more about their ambitions and their level.
- Date: Sunday, Sep. 1 | Time: 2:45 p.m. ET
- Location: Allianz Stadium -- Turin, Italy
- Live stream: Paramount+
- Odds: Juventus +105; Draw +150; AS Roma +320
AC Milan called to react
After the disastrous away game against Parma last Saturday, and also the disappointing home draw against Torino in the first game of the season, AC Milan's Paulo Fonseca is now already under pressure and needs to react on Saturday but will face Lazio, who lost to Udinese in the last away game. Marco Baroni's side had a strong first game against Venezia but then they lost to Udinese while AC Milan can count on USMNT man Christian Pulisic, who was by far the best news for AC Milan fans in these opening two games after he scored his first goal of the season against Parma on Saturday.
- Date: Saturday, Aug. 31 | Time: 2:45 p.m. ET
- Location: Stadio Olimpico -- Rome, Italy
- Live stream: Paramount+
- Odds: Lazio +185; Draw +240; AC Milan +145
Big Friday Night
Before these two games, Inter will host Atalanta at San Siro in the second match of the weekend. Inter managed to win against Lecce at home but didn't fully convince yet, while Atalanta will have to deal with some roster changes after losing to Torino in their second away game of the season. Atalanta finally agreed terms with Juventus for the sle of Teun Koopmeiners, and Gian Piero Gasperini is still looking for his replacement in these last days of the summer transfer window.
- Date: Friday, Aug. 30 | Time: 2:45 p.m. ET
- Location: San Siro -- Milan, Italy
- Live stream: Paramount+
- Odds: Inter -150; Draw +300; Atalanta +380
