Monday's edition of WWE Raw was the first show since Saturday's Money in the Bank premium live event. With the show came the return of one of the cornerstones of the women's locker room in Rhea Ripley.

Ripley's return came after Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan scored a main event win over Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega. Dominik appeared ready to finally give in and kiss Morgan when Ripley's music hit. Now, the small cracks in the foundation of Judgment Day could become chasms as the group's leader -- along with Damian Priest -- has returned to find her "Dirty Dom" in the literal arms of her most hated rival.

CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.

Rhea Ripley returns to break up a moment between Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan

Damian Priest agreed to give Seth Rollins another title shot down the line. The stipulation of the match at Money in the Bank was that Rollins could not challenge Priest for the title again if he lost but Priest said after handling business with Gunther at SummerSlam, he'd give Rollins a shot at the title anytime, anywhere. Priest then answered a phone call and asked where the person on the other end was while smiling.

Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan def. Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega via pinfall when Dominik hit Rey with a frog splash. Dominik got the win after Morgan provided a distraction and then tripped Rey to set up the finish. Excited after the win, Dominik and Morgan briefly hugged before Dominik pulled back. Morgan then jumped into his arms and pulled him to the mat. The pair looked as though they were about to kiss when Ripley's music hit. Morgan ran for the hills before Ripley entered the ring and yelled at Dominik as he attempted to hug her and the show went off the air.

Ripley's return was necessary for this storyline to not stall out badly. The will they/won't they of Dominik and Morgan was getting stale and Ripley returning puts Dominik in a corner where he has to actually take a stand. Meanwhile, Priest continues to drift further from the heel behavior of the rest of the group but he still has a clear connection with Ripley as the mature center of Judgment Day, leading to more questions about how the eventual split will break down. Grade: B+

What else happened on WWE Raw?

  • CM Punk and Seth Rollins came face-to-face. Punk opened the show ready to cut a promo on Drew McIntyre, which he did briefly before Rollins interrupted and came to the ring. Rollins blamed Punk's interference at Money in the Bank -- taking McIntyre out -- for why Rollins didn't win the world heavyweight championship and vowed to re-injure Punk as soon as he's cleared, and before Punk can even worry about his issues with McIntyre. Later in the show, Adam Pearce told Punk to not show up next week so he could see if he could have a conversation with McIntyre.
  • Jey Uso def. Chad Gable via pinfall after a spear. The lights began to go out during the match, sending Gable into a fit of paranoia that the Wyatt Sick6 were coming for him again. That allowed Uso to hit the spear for the win. After the match, the fog rolled in before Nikki Cross again appeared to hand a box to Pat McAfee at the commentary desk.
  • Bronson Reed def. Pete Dunne via pinfall with a Tsunami. Before the match, Reed argued with Sheamus. As Reed tried to continue his attack after the match, Sheamus ran in for the save. When Sheamus tried to hug Dunne after the match, Dunne refused and walked off angrily.
  • Bron Breakker attacked Sami Zayn. Breakker interrupted a Zayn promo and said he wanted to look the only man in the locker room to beat him in the eye and he knows he isn't likely to get a rematch. At that point, Breakker speared Zayn and dropped several punches before being pulled off.
  • Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Carlito def. R-Truth, The Miz & Braun Strowman via pinfall when Balor hit a Coup de Grace on R-Truth.
  • Ilja Dragunov def. Bron Breakker via disqualification after Breakker threw a chair into Dragunov's face. Dragunov had demanded a match with Breakker after Breakker attacked Zayn. After the disqualification, Breakker continued his assault until Zayn ran in, but Breakker disposed of both Dragunov and Zayn and ended things standing tall.
  • Damage CTRL def. Kayden Carter, Katana Chance & Lyra Valkyria via pinfall when Iyo Sky hit Carter with a moonsault. After the match, Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark hit the ring and beat down Damage CTRL.
