OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Jamar Brown drove the lane with 15 seconds left and scored on a soft jump hook to lift Kansas City to a 74-72 win over Omaha on Saturday.

Cameron Faas scored 15 points and finished 5 of 7 from 3-point range for the Kangaroos (8-12, 2-3 Summit League). Brown scored 11 points, shooting 5 for 11, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc. Yulian Ramirez-Montero was 3 of 4 shooting (2 for 3 from 3-point range) to finish with 10 points.

The Mavericks (10-11, 3-3) were led in scoring by Marquel Sutton, who finished with 21 points, four assists and two steals. Frankie Fidler added 15 points and two steals for Omaha. Nick Davis also had 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

These two teams both play Thursday. UMKC visits South Dakota State and Omaha visits Oral Roberts.
