Shut it down. We might have the most absurd play of Week 11 -- or of the 2016 college football season. And it involved Iowa.

That doesn't make much sense.

It also involved Iowa faking a punt.

That doesn't make much sense, either.

The fateful play came in the first quarter of the Hawkeyes' game against Michigan when punter Ron Coluzzi appeared to see a look in the Wolverines' punt return unit that prompted him to tuck and run. The read itself wasn't terrible, but the outcome most definitely was.

Compounding the absurdity of it all was the fact that Michigan was flagged for targeting the punter -- for making helmet-to-helmet contact while he somersaulted through the air.

What kind of country are we living in if Iowa can't even execute something related to a punt?
